Living in Foley, AL

As one of the oldest and largest counties east of the Mississippi River, Baldwin County was first organized in 1809. The Alabama Territory became a state 10 years later, and Foley was founded soon after by John B. Foley, a prominent land developer from Chicago. Today, Foley is a thriving city on the Alabama Gulf Coast that exudes typical Southern hospitality. The city boasts one of the fastest-growing communities in the southeast with many people who first come as visitors later returning as residents.

Foley is a very bike- and pedestrian-friendly city, as residents are encouraged to choose sustainable methods of transportation to get around. Living in Foley apartments is very affordable, as the city's cost of living index is well below the United States average.

Foley Attractions and Special Events
