Our resort style community features a sand beach pool with lounge furniture, covered cabanas and an outdoor fire pit. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day with cardio and weight equipment. All apartments feature in home washers and dryers, private patios or balconies, built in bookshelves and ceiling fans. Select homes feature wood floors, granite countertops, modern two tone paint and stainless steel appliances. Within walking distance of the Ahwatukee Towne Center and close to public transportation. However, because certain dogs do not thrive in a community environment, we cannot accommodate the following breeds, dogs resembling these breeds, or mixes of these breeds: Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Chow, Doberman, German Shepherd, Husky, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler and Wolf Hybrid.

For me, San Melia offers everything I can think of that is important for where I live, and in addition, it off Read Moreers more than I ever thought I would find in one place. First is the safety provided with security gates and lighted walkways which make walking anytime of day or night possible. Second is the beautiful and well-kept grounds that make looking out my windows or walking a pleasure. Third are the amenities such as the large pool, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and children's playground--all of which make my home enjoyable for myself as well as visiting grandchildren of all ages. In addition, a short walk to restaurants, stores, and even the movie theatre makes driving an option. As for my apartment--well, it is my home and it feels like a home. The layout is efficient and well thought-out. I have only met wonderful people living around me--and the management has been very helpful and responsive to my needs.

Issues that arise are always handled quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. The community facilities are clean Read Moreand in good working order, allowing us to take full advantage of the community, which really feels like a mini-resort!

Overall, pretty serviceable living experience over the last few years. I moved in sight unseen and like the lo Read Morecation a lot. Some of the inconvenience lies in things like noise complaints going unsolicited and weird rules around in office pick ups for packages now; but at the end of the day that stuff is taken in stride.

The customer service at San Melia gets worse by the day. Once upon a time the front office answered the phone Read More with bright and friendly voices, they didn't act annoyed when you came in to place service request, they knew residents by name, and they cared about retaining tenants. They also managed to never stop accepting packages in the office and former workers even had the nerve to remember my name and apartment number when picking up my packages. Oh how I miss those days. Now since AIMCO has taken over that has all changed. You all constantly send out these surveys to know how you're doing but continue to provide poor service. Simple suggestions, have the staff answer the phones again in the office and treat tenants with care!!!
