Get Inspired by Celebrity Kitchens
Living in a rental unit can sometimes cramp your style in terms of decor, especially when it comes to the kitchen. But there’s no reason why you can’t “ooh” and “ahh” over some of the most stunning celebrity kitchens and find inspiration to add into your decorative motif. Just because you can’t demolish the worn-down countertops and less-than-glamorous appliances doesn’t mean there’s no way to add a Hollywood touch to your pad. Here is our list of some of the celebrity kitchens that we adore:
Celebrity Kitchens: Will Ferrell
This funny man may be best known for going streaking with “Snoop-a-loop” or being San Diego’s top anchorman, but his kitchen layout is far from hilarious. Sleek, modern and simplistic, Ferrell’s kitchen is a stately white with vibrant blue metal chairs and a sophisticated Lichtenstein print hung on the wall. Exposed beams and piping add an industrial aesthetic, and vibrant centerpieces make the colorless walls stick out.

Add it to your place: Simplicity is key when embracing Ferrell’s design taste in your own apartment. Pick a few bright hues–Ferrell stuck with red, blue and a bit of yellow–and leave the rest of the decor neutral. Add modern furniture and a couple art pieces and you’ve got a kitchen with the Ron Burgundy stamp of approval.
Celebrity Kitchens: John Legend
With a smooth and soulful voice, it should come as no surprise that John Legend’s kitchen features tons of natural light, earthy tones and a stunningly cozy dining table. His white, lofted ceilings have perfectly contrasting deep-brown beams that open up the space and welcome in the sun. Instead of a simple flower vase, Legend has a massive tree-like centerpiece that adds a breath of fresh air to the modern design.

Get it in your pad: While you may not have the option of opening up to a stunning backyard, you can get this look with simple branches in a tall vase and neutral-colored furniture. Legend went with an almost bronze-brown accent, so think about using mostly fair tones with a touch of deep hues.
Celebrity Kitchen: Neil Patrick Harris
When he’s not causing ladies to swoon on “How I Met Your Mother,” Neil Patrick Harris is spending time in his cozy Los Angeles kitchen with fiancé David Burtka. With solid wood cabinetry, granite countertops and a country-tinged motif, this kitchen is far from Barney Stinson’s strictly modern man pad.

Put it in your apartment: Neil Patrick Harris embraces warm, comforting tones in his large eat-in kitchen, so consider adding oak or maple wood furnishings and simple art pieces. Add a shabby-chic table or light fixture and your kitchen will be legen … wait for it … dary!
