Denver Dog Parks and Pet Grooming

Now that you’ve settled into your dog-friendly Denver apartment, you are going to love all the things to do in Denver with your dog. Mile High City is on the edge of an outdoor paradise filled with hiking trails, snowdrifts, and plenty of things to sniff. While you’re stuck in the city, however, you’ll need more mundane amusements to keep your pooch happy.

Denver Dog Parks

There are a bunch of quality places in Denver to let your four-legged friend run around off-leash.

Stapleton Dog Park
2002 Spruce Street
Stapleton Dog Park is just one of the locals’ favorites. This fenced-in area covers four acres with a mix of sand and grass. There’s water for Fido and places you can take a seat, as well. Stapleton isn’t split into separate areas for big or small dogs, so make sure your dog is ready to play nice. No children or pit bulls are allowed in the dog run.

Berkeley Lake Park
4544 West 46th Avenue
Another good option is the Dog Park at Berkeley Lake Park. This off-leash area isn’t massive, but its mix of dirt and grass make for an appealing play area for a good range of dogs. Its location in one of Denver’s most attractive and historical neighborhoods makes it nice for owners, too. Sorry, this park also doesn’t allow pit bulls.

Cherry Creek State Park
4201 South Parker Road, Aurora
If you’re feeling like giving your dog a special treat, drive out to Cherry Creek State Park. Some would call this the best dog park in Colorado. Here you’ll find 125 acres where dogs can run to their heart’s content. Originally created for training hunting dogs, now it’s trails, streams, and a bounty of bounding beasts.

Denver Pet Grooming & Spas

Let’s face it. It’s probably time you gave your dog a bath. That isn’t always the easiest task to tackle, though, and your bathroom may end up looking like the scene of a Sasquatch attack. Why not call a professional?

Dog Savvy Boutique & Spa
1402 Larimer Street
Denver A-List recently ranked Dog Savvy Boutique & Spa best in the city. You can take advantage of their bath and brush services or dive in yourself, using their luxury self-serve dog wash. You’ll have the supplies professionals use at your fingertips, and they’ll clean up the puddles afterward.

Mile High Mutts
3500 Chestnut Place
Another great option is Mile High Mutts, a full-service shop that uses all natural products and a hydro surge bathing system for an extra deep clean. If you have a social pup, consider a day of dogging daycare. You can even watch Spot play on their live webcam!

The Pooch Mobile
They come to you!
Locals love The Pooch Mobile, another reasonably priced option. This mobile dog washing company drives up to your door with their hydrobath-truck. You bring your pooch to your porch and they take care of the rest. You won’t even have to start your car.
