The Antioch Unified School District serves more than 19,000 students in grades K-12, and has two comprehensive high schools along with four middle schools and 13 elementary schools. The district also operates three specialized high schools, and two alternative high schools, in addition to a homeschooling program and adult education courses. Approximately 18 percent of students in the district are English language learners, and the district specializes in enabling these students to keep up with grade-level academic standards.
