Beverly Center, Los Angeles, CA
Living near the Beverly Center
Renting a Beverly Center apartment will situate you in a convenient section of Los Angeles. Right in the middle of the neighborhood is the Beverly Center mall—eight stories of high-end shopping and dining. The blocks surrounding this distinctive structure include the famous Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, trendy stores, and plenty of appealing rentals. The Beverly Center neighborhood is bordered on the west and south by Beverly Hills, and on the north by West Hollywood. It overlaps with the Fairfax District to the east.
The two largest tenants in this part of town arrived within a decade of each other. Cedars-Sinai, an organization dating back to 1902, moved into its current location here in 1972. The Beverly Center mall opened in 1982. Their presence has helped to establish this part of Los Angeles as an appealing place to nest.
Beverly Center Lifestyle and Entertainment
Inside the Beverly Center mall, you’ll find a Macy’s, a Bloomingdale’s, tons of retail shops, designer boutiques, a food court, and restaurants. More boutiques and eateries can be found along Robertson, Melrose, San Vicente, Beverly, La Cienega, La Brea, and 3rd Street. From here, you’re also close to The Grove—an outdoor farmer’s market and shopping area.
The closest green space to Beverly Center is La Cienega Park, in Beverly Hills. There you’ll find public ball fields and courts, a jogging track, and a community center.
Beverly Center Info and the Rental Market
Your rental options here include bungalows, Spanish-style homes, condos, and apartments. Expect to pay around $1,400 a month in rent for a one-bedroom.
This neighborhood isn’t close to the freeways, but it’s not too horrendous traffic-wise. You can shoot down La Cienega to get to the Santa Monica Freeway or take surface streets to the coast or Hollywood. Buses run down many of the major roads here.
