Highland Park is also situated on four metro bus lines as well as the DASH Highland Park/Eagle Rock bus line operated by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. Formerly known as the Pasadena Freeway, the historic Arroyo Seco Parkway, or SR110, forms the district's southeastern boundary.

Highland Park Schools & Education

Highland Park students can attend public schools operated by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as well as several private educational institutions. There are 11 LAUSD elementary schools serving the area. Consult with the school district for the exact school serving your apartment or rental home. Older students attend class at Luther Burbank Middle School and Franklin High School. The Academia Avance and Los Angeles International Charter Schools also serve the community.
