Living in Marina, CA
Marina was first established in the 1860s, and was originally made up of about 9,000 acres owned by David Jacks and James Bardin. This land was sold throughout the 1880s, and by 1913, the area was designated on a map for the first time.
Marina residents today enjoy being in close proximity to a wide variety of employers, including harvester Azcona Harvesting, book publisher McGraw-Hill, and the agricultural endeavors of Monterey Mushrooms, Inc. Locals looking to further their education may be interested in the opportunities available at Monterey Peninsula College or the Naval Postgraduate School.
