In general, the property is well-maintained and looks nice from the outside, but the sub-floor of the second s Read Moretory seems to not have any insulation or buffer from the activities of the upstairs neighbors. Listening to the sound of people walking upstairs is an all day affair as if the second floor used to be an attic that was converted into a apartment. The sound of any music is translated through the floor into the downstairs unit. The single-pane windows don't keep out the cold very well. Then again, this is the point of view from a downstairs neighbor, an upstairs neighbor would probably say it's usually quiet for them. If living here is a last resort, the tough choice is to live downstairs and live with the noise that comes from the upstairs neighbors, or live with the gravity of having to climb up and down stairs to go in and out of the apartment.
