Chorro Adobe - Mancillas-Freitas Adobe - Welcome to the historic Mancillas-Freitas Adobe, circa 1800, one of the last remaining privately owned Adobe that was a part of the San Luis Obispo de Tolosa Mission. We are so proud to share this historical home with others. The Owner has completely thought of every detail to modernize this unique home, while keeping the historic style and atmosphere of one of San Luis Obispo's treasures. The home is located on a very private large lot in the China Town District of San Luis Obispo, directly behind the iconic "Ah Luis" building. The Mancillas-Freitas Adobe was one of the seven Adobes that housed many of the Chumash Indians, Traders, Trappers, Merchants and Ranchers and was a home to the families that worked in the community.
It is both architecturally and beautifully done, with gorgeous wood floors, marble baths, vaulted ceiling, deep windows and great lighting. The kitchen and living is open and comfortable for entertaining. The den is on the upper level and has spectacular views of the majestic peaks and the downtown life style. Without even leaving the premises you'll enjoy the huge wrap-around porch and stroll through the gardens. The amenities are all the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and private baths for each room. The home is only two blocks away more historical venues and a lively downtown where boutiques, restaurants, and music venues are abundant for your entertainment. Within 15 minutes you can visit Edna Valley for wine tasting and in the other direction; the beautiful central coast.
There is so much history to this home that makes your stay nostalgic, curious and enjoyable.
Thank you for viewing this beautiful property and we look forward to your interest in staying at this unique home.
