Overview of Venice

Venice is a hip neighborhood located at the western edge of the city of Los Angeles, California. It was founded as a city in 1905, when it was already a well-known resort area. In 1926, however, it merged into the city of Los Angeles. Another nearby institute of higher learning is California State University Long Beach, which has more than 35,000 students and is the second largest campus of the California State University system’s 23 schools.
