Overview of Capitol Hill
The cleverly named neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Denver is a thriving, bustling cosmopolitan area that contains both Denver’s State Capitol and a prominent hill! Funny how sometimes names are completely literal. Anyway, you don’t have to be into politics to love everything that this vibrant atmosphere provides. As one of Denver’s most densely-populated neighborhoods, this area consists mostly of historic mansions that have been converted to offices, businesses, and apartments. Capitol Hill is now considered to be a popular place to live amongst young professionals due to its vintage charm and newly constructed condos and apartments. While parts of the neighborhood are still in need of some TLC, for the most part this is a walkable area that is conveniently located near other areas of Downtown Denver.
Capitol Hill Denver Apartments
Capitol Hill used to be the most affordable of Denver’s downtown neighborhoods; however, with the gentrification in the past few years, the price of rent has been on the rise. Studios now start around $800 to $1,000 a month, while two bedroom apartments in Capitol Hill Denver cost anywhere between $1,600 and $2,000. A number of the rentals available are part of the newer construction, but we do have some apartments with vintage character, hardwood floors, and beautiful views. Most Capitol Hill Denver apartments offer standard amenities like WiFi capabilities, gated access to the buildings, and covered parking.
Dining & Entertainment in Capitol Hill

Pet Friendly Capitol Hill Denver Apartments
If you and your furry friend are looking to rent in this area, you are in luck! Most apartments in Capitol Hill Denver are pet-friendly, though many do require an additional deposit for your animal companion. There are a number of veterinary clinics in the area, and although pet grooming is not offered within the boundaries of this community, a few places to pamper your pooch are within walking distance of this urban oasis.
The biggest drawback for pet owners may very well be the very urban nature of this community. Your concrete surroundings mean that you and your dog will need frequent jaunts to one of the local parks, several of which are within walking distance, to spend some time in green space.

In fact, Capitol Hill is the 4th most walkable neighborhood in Denver with an average of 8 restaurants, bars, or coffee houses within a 5-minute walking distance no matter where you are in the neighborhood.
If you’re taking public transit outside of Capitol Hill, you might have a bit more of a challenge. There are about 20 bus lines close by, but access to the Light Rail is several miles away.
