Five Points is most popular with young professionals from 25 to 44; many single and most without children. The area boasts a busy retail corridor with a wide selection of restaurants. Locals flock to the neighborhood to enjoy some of the city’s best Caribbean, soul and BBQ food at locally owned and operated eateries. Plus, more than 75 local businesses line the community’s main retail avenue, Welton Street.

The community celebrates its rich musical history by hosting the Five Points Jazz Festival every May. The free event features more than 100 performers, family activities and great food. Other neighborhood attractions include the Stiles African American Heritage Center, the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library and the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center.

The area is dotted with several local parks, including Lawson Park, Fuller Park, Curtis Park and Schafer Park, among them. Nearby is Denver’s City Park, a 330-acre outdoor space that offers the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and two lakes. The City Park Golf Course, a public course is adjacent to the park.
