The High Line Canal runs through Indian Creek offering plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities. Designated a National Landmark Trail, it was originally completed in 1883 for irrigation. Today, residents enjoy hiking, biking, jogging and horseback riding on the canal’s scenic trail. The canal also winds through many parks with picnic areas and is a prime spot for wildlife viewing. The 40-mile long Cherry Creek Trail also runs close to the Indian Creek neighborhood. It begins in Denver and runs south to the Cherry Creek Reservoir. It’s perfect for biking, rollerblading, jogging and walking. It’s a great way to see the city.
