Renting an apartment in Northwest Denver, CO, puts you close to the action in the heart of city. Depending on which community your choose for your new rental home, you could be living on a tree-lined suburban street, in a high-rise loft downtown or overlooking the city’s skyline. The Northwest neighborhood is obviously is the northwest quadrant of the city. The area considered Northwest Denver today is considerably larger than earlier definitions of this community. It now encompasses an area from Regis on the far northwest, to Villa Park at its southwest end, to Elyria/Swansea to the northeast and Congress Park to the southeast. It includes popular neighborhoods, such as Five Points, Capitol Hill and Uptown.

Northwest Lifestyle and Entertainment

Northwest Denver offers a number of diverse neighborhoods each with their own unique attributes. The area includes people of all ages, with a greater concentration of those aged 25 to 35, nearly half are married and about a quarter have children. You can count on a wide selection of restaurants, coffee houses and night spots, including those locally owned and those part of nationally known brands. With a reputation as one of the country’s top beer cities, expect some pubs to offer their own brews.

Some particular attractions in the Northwest include: The vibrant Berkeley District, for the arts and community-minded shopping; The Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science, both located in City Park in the Five Points District; the United States Mint; the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Colorado State Capitol; the Molly Brown House Museum and so much more. If you’re a football fan, the Bronco’s Sports Authority Field at Mile High, west of downtown, is easily accessible to Northwest residents.

The area also is dotted with parks and has some large outdoor spaces such as City Park in Five Points and Confluence Park and Commons Park both along the riverfront. These urban parks offer green space, walking trails and bike paths along the scenic river.

The Northwest Rental Market

The Northwest rental market covers a wide area of the city and offers an equally large selection and diversity of rentals to choose from for your next home. You can choose from apartments, condos, lofts, townhomes and single family homes, depending on the individual neighborhood you select within Northwest. You can expect that rentals closer to the city center, many in high-rise towers, are generally more expensive than those in some of the outlying suburbs.
