Bad news for people without cars: you need to get one if you’re living in Stapleton and commuting to other parts of Denver. This neighborhood has access to I-70 which easily takes you straight to the center of Denver. Lowry Air Force Base and the Buckley Air National Guard Base are within a few minutes commute. Aurora and Commerce City are both less than a fifteen minute drive from the center of town and are easy to access from the interstate routes I-36, I-70, and I-40 depending on which part of town you are located near.
Stapleton Schools & Education
There are many award winning schools in this area. Some of the elementary schools that are ranked excellent include Westerly Creek Elementary, William "Bill" Roberts Elementary, and Isabella Bird Community School. Denver School of Science and Technology is a charter school that happens to be the first one in the area. Montessori Children's House of Denver is a private elementary school in the area that offers a specialized curriculum for your young children. The Anchor Center for Blind Children educates blind children in the area with award winning teachers and curriculum.
