President

Amit oversees day to day business operations for Rent.com. He outlines the overall strategy, corporate vision, and sets the company growth objectives.

Prior to Rent.com, Amit was a senior operating advisor at TPG Capital, a global private equity firm that oversees over $50 billion of capital. While there, he worked with various portfolio companies including Armstrong World Industries (a global manufacturer of flooring, ceilings, and cabinets) and Nexeo Solutions (a leading distributor of chemicals, plastics and composites). At Nexeo, Amit took an interim executive position as the VP of Transformation, directly reporting to the CEO and responsible for driving value creation programs across the company.

Amit also spent six years with McKinsey & Company from 2003-2009, where he was an Associate Principal in the Palo Alto, CA office. He served several Fortune 500 companies across industries managing engagements focused on operations transformation and business turnarounds across the United States, Europe and Asia.

He also serves on the board of ReSurge International, a non-profit organization. ReSurge provides free reconstructive surgeries for the underprivileged and builds year-round medical access in under-served areas in developing countries.

Amit holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
