    Colonial Townhouse Apartments Resident

    Certified Resident in September 2009

    This was a fairly average apartment. If you are a UConn student without a car, it is a great choice for off-ca Read Morempus housing. The bus has two stops in the apartment complex, drops you off right on campus, and is absolutely free if you show your UConn student ID. Our biggest issue with this place is we were robbed twice in the same week, and while we have no definitive proof, all evidence would suggest that it was the maintenance staff. Other robberies took place with the same circumstances.

    We are happy that you have enjoyed the WRTD transportation available. With three bus stops on our property, it is certainly a good option for those without cars looking to travel to the UConn campus. However, we are concerned about the items you say have been removed from your apartment. We take all allegations seriously, and only ask that our tenants report these cases to us directly so that we can take action on them at the time it occurs.

    The property has gone downhill a lot in the last few years. I really liked it when I moved in 5 years ago, bu Read Moret things had gotten terrible. The hot water would be shut off with no warning, the heat was turned off to install a new heater in the middle of a blizzard, there was an ever growing pile of trash behind my building, and the lawn was seldom mowed. It was overgrown with weeds to the point that there were a lot of bugs. Maintenance came in my apartment once (that I know of) without notice

    We are sorry that you have not fully enjoyed your experience with us. Although we try to minimize any inconveniences to our residents, sometimes we need to shut off water/heat unexpectedly to make repairs. This is also when maintenance may need to enter your apartment without warning. If you can let us know which building you live in, we would be happy to pay particular attention to the upkeep surrounding it.
