It has been quite good. I do think they could have done more for the tenants, including putting a hold on ren Read Moret increases, during the modest hardships of the several year renovation project. Unlike some buildings, it is possible to talk to a real human being in management. That at least provides a possibility for really dealing with problems. It is a humane environment.

The building is always clean and well-lit and we always have our maintenance needs met within a reasonable amo Read Moreunt of time. The front desk staff is really friendly - some go above and beyond to give me a smile or hold the door. It's great to have packages delivered to a safe place that's open 24 hours a day.

When you drive up to 3801 Connecticut Avenue, especially at night, you have the impression that you are approa Read Moreching a boutique hotel that has been plunked down in the middle of the street's apartment buildings. The foyer, with the layout and concierge, is warm and inviting. The lighting is neither too harsh nor is it too dim. Inside, you see very tastefully done, newly-renovated apartments with - and this is important - the kitchens tucked around the corner. When you get around a bit, you start to realize how nice it is to enter an apartment and not enter straight into the kitchen, where someone is cutting onions or stirring sauce as you take off your coat. The flooring is light and extremely hard to scratch, a good combination of looks and functionality. The new kitchens are dark-toned, which contrasts nicely with the flooring. The layout of the apartment in other terms is just fine, and the walls are generally thick enough to filter out any neighbors and their late-night antics. Overall, the experience is quite satisfying and the value for the money cannot be beaten - principally because the apartments are newly renovated but the same price as rank, dilapidated places nearby that are foul. 3801 Connecticut is worthy of being on the serene, staid street that is this portion of Connecticut Avenue.
