One of Apopka’s historic landmarks includes “The Lodge,” one of the oldest Masonic lodge in Florida, which has been in continuous operation since 1859.  People can also experience hundreds of tropical foliage plants at the area's many nurseries. Apopka has earned itself the nickname “The Indoor Foliage Capital of the World,” because of dozens of greenhouses that produce all types of plant species and arrangements, from historic fern baskets to the latest orchid hybrids.

Kings Landing, on the Wekiva River, is also a great draw for residents and tourists. It has been rated the No. 1 paddle run in central Florida.
