Living in Casselberry, FL
Casselberry got its start in the mid-1800s when "Florida Cattle King" William B. Hooker came into the area and began building an agricultural development along Lake Concord. However, the city didn't really get its footing until the 1920s, when many areas in Florida became winter playgrounds for many New England aristocrats. Two of these land developers were Gordon J. Barnett and Hibbard Casselberry, who eventually became the namesake of the town. Today, Casselberry has become one the most sought-after communities around Orlando because of its pro-business atmosphere and low cost of living, according to City-Data. Based on 2010 data from the U.S. Census Bureau, this city boasts more than 26,000 residents.
