Pros and cons of Mt. Vernon.

Pros:
Good staff.
Easy access to laundering and to the pool.
Adeq
Read Moreuate, and well maintained, parking space.
Pet friendly.
Fast work order completion.
Large area per rent amount.

Cons:
Pest problem, primarily ants.
Work orders were sometimes shoddy, like a faucet fixed with an epoxy instead of being replaced, ot a subpar water heating unit installed.
The hallways outside the apartments are often hot and poorly ventilated.

Overall it was a decent experience. 4/5.

Front desk staff is rude and inconsiderate. They do not communicate with tenants about things like early-morni Read Moreng construction (even if the construction crews are outside my bedroom window). They only seem to want to communicate via flyers that publicly advertise mistakes made by other tenants, which is embarrassing. One time they sent out a letter that was meant for the apartment below me and was very personal. If I wasn't living so close to work I'd probably leave or sublease. Love maintenance.
