Overview of Brickell Miami, FL:

Brickell Miami is commonly known as the “Manhattan of the South,” and whether you agree or disagree on this issue, one thing is for sure—Brickell is one of the largest financial districts in the United States by far. Packed with towering financial buildings and high-rise luxury apartments, the neighborhood of Brickell Miami works hard by day and plays hard by night. With its lavish conveniences and gorgeous ocean and city views, Brickell is the perfect setting for professionals who seek a short commute and the downtown Miami vibe.

Rental Market in Brickell Miami

Transformed from its early days of extravagant mansions, the neighborhood of Brickell Miami is now filled with soaring apartment buildings and hotels. Most Brickell Miami apartments feature contemporary towers, nearby dining and shops, and sweeping views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami. Downtown professionals are drawn to this neighborhood because of the close commute to work and the plethora of perks that come along with most of the newer high-rise buildings. Most apartments feature modern amenities like pools, hot tubs, and gyms. All of these benefits and sweeping views do come with a high price tag, though. The average studio or one bedroom apartment starts around $1,600, or if you’re in need of more space you can typically expect to pay somewhere between $2700 and $4,400 a month for 3 bedrooms.

Brickell FL Dining & Entertainment

The main hub for dining, shopping, and nightlife in the neighborhood of Brickell is the Mary Brickell Village. This shopping center contains practical shopping like the large grocery chain, Publix, as well as many specialty shops and delicious restaurants. This neighborhood has been considered to be an up-and-coming area for nightlife and activity in general. Brickell deviates from the notorious “South Beach scene” and instead offers a variety of trendy bars with handcrafted cocktails and live music. Residents of the neighborhood enjoy the walkability of the area. In a place where people often take their cars everywhere, it’s refreshing to be able to walk to everything you want to do in one night!

Pet-Friendly Brickell Apartments

A quick search of apartments for rent in Brickell Miami shows that all of our available units allow both dogs and cats. Additionally, there are several options for groomers, boarding, and the Brickell Animal Hospital, so maintaining the health and happiness of your pets will be easy. There’s no designated dog park in this neighborhood, but most weekends you will find locals and their furry friends walking along the beachfront sidewalks and enjoying the ocean views.

Commuting In Miami, FL

Many people in Brickell opt to use the Metromover because it’s a free and quick way to get around greater downtown Miami. For those unfamiliar with the Metromover, it’s a form of public transit that links all of Downtown and Brickell’s major office buildings, residential buildings, hotels, and retail centers. Brickell is also served by Metrobus and the Miami Metrorail, which is a convenient way to get to the airport and some areas of greater Miami.

Education Options in Brickell Miami

Because Brickell is not a popular neighborhood for families, the school options in the area are slim pickings. Southside Elementary School resides in the neighborhood of Brickell and is highly rated, however there are no middle schools or high schools in the area. In the case that you are planning on moving your family downtown, you will need to consider options for schooling and how you will transport your children to schools outside of Brickell.
