I moved to the Retreat At Crosstown in August of 2016 because I was starting at Cooley Law School in September Read More and I've had a very good experience! My apartment is clean, cozy, and convenient to live in. I have a beautiful view of the lake! The complex is safe and everyone has their own space. I am close to my school and the mall which was very important to me in choosing to move here.

You get what you pay for. Or, actually, less than what you pay for. I rented a one bedroom for a year. The Read Moreapartment was spacious and had all the items that one would need... but everything was old. That isn't always an issue, except that it all very much showed its age. The AC was obnoxiously noisy and had trouble getting cool air into the bedroom. The dryer spews lint onto the screen enclosed patio. The countertops are battered and chipped. The bathtub has a big crack in the porcelain right where you tend to stand. I've had to have exterminators come multiple times for the bugs. I've also had to have maintenance come several times, for everything from appliances breaking to a leaky roof. A LEAKY ROOF WHICH THEY FAILED TO FIX, DESPITE ENTERING MY APARTMENT AT A TIME THEY DID NOT SPECIFY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION TO DO SO. I'm writing this as a Tropical Storm is hitting us, watching as water stains grow on my wall. If you are considering the Retreat at Crosstown, DON'T. There are other places that cost the same amount of money, and the bar for being better than this is pretty low.
