Seminole Heights, Fla., began as T. Roy Young's 40 acres of land back in 1900. Home to approximately 17,000 residents, Seminole Heights has grown by leaps and bounds in the past 100-plus years. The community is a mixed blend of old Gothic architecture and bungalow style homes which became popular after the great depression.

Seminole Heights was divided during the 1950s due to the construction of a major interstate system. In 1987, plans were made to widen Hillsborough Ave., but residents came together to form an alliance that kept the community from being further divided by construction. Today, residents are more than willing to offer a helping hand to one another.
Friends and families enjoy spending time at community porch parties, potlucks and clubs that Seminole Heights residents put together and host.
