More good news: there are several large pet stores nearby, and there are quite a few options for pet boarding, in-house pet sitting, and even grooming! While there isn’t a dog park in this neighborhood, you can always take a nice walk with your four-legged friend to Desoto Park for some exercise and waterfront views.
Commuting In & Around Ybor City
As a general rule, your job dictates the neighborhood that you live in. You want to be close to work because Tampa has a bit of a problem with sprawl, and with everyone else in the city being dependent on a car, traffic becomes sort of a nightmare. Ybor City is situated very close to Downtown and a short drive away from Westshore, so typically getting to the areas where there is a high density of jobs is no problem. Ybor City has easy access to both I-4 and I-275, and if you’re enjoying a leisurely visit to the Channel District there is an old-fashioned electric trolley that will take you there.
