If you’re seeking a low-key community out near the edge of the city, consider a Dunwoody Pine Forest apartment. This mostly residential neighborhood is part of the newly minted city of Dunwoody, in DeKalb County. Dunwoody Pine Forest is a shade-filled area of single-family homes, but it’s also rich in shopping and dining options. It’s here that you’ll find the massive Perimeter Mall. Around that retail bonanza, the neighborhood’s homes give way to apartments and those who value convenience over quiet.
This part of Georgia was named for Charles Dunwody (with one “o”), a major in the Civil War. It was incorporated as the city of Dunwoody in 2008.
Dunwoody Pine Forest Lifestyle and Entertainment
Most of the businesses in Dunwoody Pine Forest can be found along the neighborhood’s west edge. Most dramatically, the Perimeter Mall presents residents with around 200 restaurants, services, and stores. Stop in at Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and much more there. You’ll find the Perimeter Mall on Ashford Dunwoody Road. It’s just one of a few shopping complexes along this thoroughfare.
