The aviation industry is a main source of employment for many residents in the city. The top employer in College Park is the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA is closely followed by Eagle Group International, Woodward Academy, Sysco Corporation, Atlantic Southeast Airlines and AirTran Airlines.

Those who call College Park home may be attracted by more than the relatively inexpensive rent. The area is a transportation hub, with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport located nearby and Old National Highway passing through the city.
