Noble Oaks

On an Oak Covered Hill in the Ojai Valley, the property- with its rambling Spanish Colonial revival- Andalusian Farmhouse home, was a sacred place of the Chumash people. The topographical location and orientation of the house was chosen to preserve and protect an ancient Chumash molcajete- indigenous to the property. This large stone is located in the courtyard near the front entrance of the home which was built in 1928.

Overview of Riverdale

Located just a few miles south of Atlanta is the charming, historic community of Riverdale. This bustling community serves as a cultural and recreational center in the area.

Riverdale apartments for rent can be found across the city in various neighborhoods. These areas all offer residents different amenities, but all provide the hospitality and friendliness common in this small city.

Living in Riverdale, GA

Settlers were living in the area now known as Riverdale long before the Civil War. The community was primarily agricultural for years, and in 1887 a new railroad offered farmers a way to transport and sell crops. In addition to using the freshly laid tracks to sell products, farmers also sold wood to the railroad to use in construction. This resulted in a mutually beneficial relationship for both parties.

The railroad resulted in a new industry in town: fertilizer. Trains brought fertilizer into town, and this allowed many residents to get involved in the business. As the small town flourished with assistance from the railroad, it began to consider incorporation. The bill making the incorporation request was approved in 1908. The city was named after the prominent local Rivers family.

Riverdale has changed over the years, but it still retains the charm it once had as a small farming community. The city is currently home to 15,251 residents, according to July 2011 data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Its modest population gives it a unique small-town atmosphere, but it still provides residents with modern day amenities.
