Those interested in studying business will find that Robert Morris University has an Arlington Heights campus that offers a four-year degree in business administration. The village is home to several large organizations that employ many residents. Some of these large employers include Arlington Park Racecourse, Northwest Community Hospital, Nokia Siemens and Alexian Brothers Health System. Arlington Heights School District 214 is also a top employer.

The annual Arlington Heights Frontier Days celebration brings the entire community together each summer. Live entertainment, a fair, lots of food and fun events make this the highlight of the summer for some Arlington Heights residents.
