Between 1895 and 1904, the Chicago Telephone Company installed poles and wires, cement sidewalks were laid and an 8-mile-per-hour road was paved.

In the early 1900s, Bloomingdale and Roselle shared a fire engine and library books, until the village of Bloomingdale was incorporated by itself. The population and growth of the community grew at a rapid pace through the 1950s to the 1970s. Today, the heritage of Bloomingdale has been preserved so residents enjoy the past with the present.
