Everyone here is pretty nice and typically friendly except for the apartment manager.

The apartments are clean and have plenty of space in them. I'm surprised how much space is provided for just o Read Morene unit! It's a very quiet and safe place. If there are any needs for fixes, they are done quickly.

The customer service skills of the manager are absolutely horrible. I've lived in several complexes prior with Read More far more tenants and the manager always knew me by name and made a genuine attempt at making sure I was satisfied with my living experience. Even after dropping my check off to her monthly for more than a year, the manager didn't even know me by name. She was always short with me and when I called for maintenance concerns, she always tried talking me out of repairs/concerns.

I would rate my overall satisfaction as average, because the apartment is just average. There is nothing spec Read Moreial about it. There are a few things that would almost make me rate it below average. There is very little water pressure, so the water barely comes out of the facets and the toilet barely flushes. The water stays lukewarm. It does not get cold enough to drink out of the facet and it does not get warm enough to clean with. The kitchen is almost too small to cook in.

The apartments are pretty old and the age is often reflected in basic furnishings- the closet doors often fall Read More apart and so are the window blinds. The maintenance people are nice, but to get to them, you have to get through the manager, who is a pretty tough person to deal with. Certain apartments are served by well-water and the hard water leaves stains everywhere. However, there are good things too- rent includes heating which is a bonus for the cold Chicago weather and the heater works well.
