Riverdale,also known as Riverdale Park, is a small town located approximately 7 miles from Washington, D.C. It's easy to get around in the neighborhood thanks to the ample public transportation. Many residents utilize the MARC rail station to commute to larger cities for work. The rail station offers a convenient method of transportation, as Washington, D.C., is only a short 10-minute train ride away.

The University of Maryland at College Park is located right in the city and is considered one of the best research colleges in the country.
