Therefore, Lexington residents themselves tend to commute to other areas for work, while the town's labor force lives elsewhere and commutes to Lexington. Some of the town's business parks are located on Hartwell Avenue, Forbes Road and Hayden Avenue. Lexington Center offers numerous opportunities for retail and service industry employment.
