I read all the negative reviews and thought they were over the top / exaggerated so I moved ahead and complete Read Mored the application for a 1 bedroom & paid the 99$ for the background check. I electronically signed all the paperwork for a provisional / monthly rate.
2 days later my dog became very sick & was diagnosed with heart disease & put on 4 medications - 1 being a diuretic which causes her to be incontinent. She is a 105 pound dog & the unit had wall to wall carpeting (they informed me all the units have wall to wall carpeting). Upon diagnosis I immediately let them know I could not move in due to obvious circumstances. They told me I had to pay (3 month's rent) ~6K to get out of the lease/documents I electronically completed.
I am a law abiding person & believe in commitments but this charge is obviously inappropriate. I will be going to court to dispute this charge of $6K+. My dog is quite old and I would have eventually moved into the complex once she passed away but obviously that is no longer the case. The apartments looked nice but sharing my experience to help prospective renters /viewers of the properties.
