Overall the experience living in Briar Cove has been exceptional. The rent we pay is about 20% higher than wh Read Moreat was estimated 6 months before move-in when we toured. Although, that is partially due to accepting an apartment with a fireplace and simply an expected increase over time. Plus, the other apartments we toured were not as nice and Briar Cove was actually the most affordable. Moving from out of state with my fiance and golden retriever was a bit hectic due to the apartment not being available for one extra day (which we received a credit towards our next months rent for). However, after the initial move I have no complaints. All that aside, the amenities (including an indoor hot tub, outdoor pool, weight room, tennis courts, all with 24hr access) have been wonderful and the premises are always kept up inside and out. They are very pet friendly, we even take our dog into the tennis courts to play fetch when we don't have time for the dog parks. The apartment itself feels like home, the outdoor stairs are covered, and the floor plan is plenty spacious (except for the attached storage closet which houses the HVAC unit). Being on the second floor, surrounded by other apartment homes (top, bottom, and 2 sides) I am surprised with how little I hear the neighbors. Either the community is really respectful or the walls and insulation really do a good job (or both), both of which are great aspects of living here. Right away, we noticed a few minor issues such as the washing machine not functioning properly. The maintenance staff has been very helpful, prompt, and personal while taking care of any issues that arise. The location is pretty nice, well removed from the college life on campus but within a 15-20 minute drive (work and school). Everything else you could possibly need shopping wise is within a few minute walk or a short drive. I would recommend the apartment homes to anyone who can afford it.

I love the location however the condo layout is a little to small, I could do without the fire place and it wo Read Moreuld make it a little easier to fit furniture. Normal furniture does not fit because the living room is very small. I like the kitchen. The patio could be cleaned up and updated to make it much better and usable. Although the sprinkler system is aimed at it and is wet every morning. They have a bug problem mostly spiders. biggest problem is the noise from up stairs when people walk.
