Living in Center Line, MI
During the same year that Michigan became a state, 1837, Warren Township was developed. Center Line was aptly named because there were three Indian Trails that lead to Detroit and other trading posts in the north. This also allowed settlers to travel in and out of the community, and one trail that became the main road used by settlers is now Sherwood Avenue. The farming town led to the development of Center Line, but it didn’t happen quickly. By 1924, residents of the community wanted to make the area a better place to live, and a year later it became a charter. Twelve years later, Center Line became a city.
Center Line Attractions and Special Events

The Armada County Fair and Romeo Peach Festival are just two of the annual events that bring residents of Macomb County closer together. Thousands of visitors from the area travel to these events that feature parades, carnival rides, and traditional festival cuisine. Throughout the year, county officials put on many other smaller events that bring people together.
