Overview of Center Line
Center Line, Mich., is located in Macomb County, which is one of the three counties that comprise the Detroit metropolitan area. Residents of Center Line experience the best of both worlds because of the close proximity to Detroit. Although Macomb County has the third highest population in Michigan, it is the ninth smallest county in size. The manufacturing industry plays a significant role in the economic development, and employs about one-third of the workforce in the county. Center Line apartments for rent are ideal for young professionals working in the city. According to statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of Center Line is around 8,300 residents.
Living in Center Line, MI
During the same year that Michigan became a state, 1837, Warren Township was developed. Center Line was aptly named because there were three Indian Trails that lead to Detroit and other trading posts in the north. This also allowed settlers to travel in and out of the community, and one trail that became the main road used by settlers is now Sherwood Avenue. The farming town led to the development of Center Line, but it didn’t happen quickly. By 1924, residents of the community wanted to make the area a better place to live, and a year later it became a charter. Twelve years later, Center Line became a city.
Center Line Attractions and Special Events
Center Line apartments are ideal for individuals who enjoy being a part of a tight-knit community. The Armada County Fair and Romeo Peach Festival are just two of the annual events that bring residents of Macomb County closer together. Thousands of visitors from the area travel to these events that feature parades, carnival rides, and traditional festival cuisine. Throughout the year, county officials put on many other smaller events that bring people together.
