Many visitors come to the area for this attraction alone because it reminds them of the simpler times of rail travel.

Another special venue in the Charlotte theatre scene is the Charlotte Performing Arts Center, a 825-seat venue that features live musical acts, comedy shows, symphonies and performing arts opportunities for youth.
