The city of Mission is located in one of the top growth areas in Kansas, just outside of the Kansas City metropolitan area in Johnson County. Because Mission is adjacent to a major highway, Interstate 35, it's easy for residents living in Mission apartments for rent to enjoy big-city life in a rural atmosphere.
Mission is home to slightly less than 10,000 residents and covers an area of 2.75 miles. Because many people visit Mission to work, conduct business and shop, the daytime population increases to approximately 50,000. Mission maintains its small-town vibe and reputation for having a safe and friendly residential atmosphere, but it's only minutes away from the excitement of Kansas City.
