Walking to and from the stores, restaurants, and galleries in Downtown Omaha is very easy but there are many other ways to navigate the community as well. You can take one of the public buses run by Omaha Metro or catch one of the many shuttles that run downtown. You can also get to the Omaha Airport with the Omaha Airport Transportation or catch a taxi ride with the Happy Cab Company. Interstates 29, 80, 480, and 680 will get you anywhere in Omaha that you need to go.
Liberty Elementary School and Central High School are the two main public schools available to your children in the downtown area. There are also several public colleges like Vatterott College, Metropolitan Community College, Grace University, Creighton University, Nebraska Methodist College, University of Omaha, and Clarkson College available for college students. If you are interested in pursuing a technical degree you can attend ITT Technical Institute. Norris Middle School and Le Voltaire offer teaching for blind students.
