Development in this community began in the 1970s, and continued into the 1980s and early 1990s. It is a well-established neighborhood. Unlike some of the other neighborhoods on the city’s south-southwest side, Buffalo is within the Las Vegas city limits and governed the Las Vegas City Council.

Buffalo is adjacent to other popular neighborhoods in Las Vegas including, The Lakes, Summerlin and Spring Valley.

Buffalo Lifestyle and Entertainment

As a neighborhood, Buffalo is most attractive to singles and marrieds in their 30s and 40s, a good number of them with children. There are two parks within the neighborhood, Rainbow Family Park and All American Park, and several more nearby.

The 26-acre Rainbow Family Park offers baseball and softball fields, a concession stand, playground, fitness court, and picnic areas. All American Park’s leisure activities include a dog run, football fields, two playgrounds, two picnics areas, four tennis courts, a jogging/walking tract, a water play area and more. This 45-acre facility is a great way for a family to spend an afternoon.

The area also has a nice selection of coffee shops, local eateries and shopping. For a bigger choice, you can hit the nearby Strip and all it has to offer in the way of fine dining, gaming, entertainment and shopping.

The Buffalo Rental Market

The rental market in Buffalo is inclusive of apartments, condos, townhomes and single-family rentals. Rent on one-bedroom apartments starts at around $660 monthly with larger, more luxurious accommodations costing more. Two bedroom apartments rent for approximately $750 to $850 monthly.
