Living in Paradise Valley Las Vegas, NV

Renting an apartment in Paradise Valley, NV, has you living conveniently close to the University of Nevada Las Vegas, all the attractions of The Strip and McCarran International Airport.

Paradise got its start in the 1950s when the City of Las Vegas began efforts to annex the Las Vegas Strip, home the area’s major money makers - the casinos and hotels. The business owners objected and lobbied for a law that prevented the annexation of an unincorporated town. The township was formed in 1953. Today, most visitors to “Sin City” don’t realize that a large portion of the Las Vegas Strip is actually located in Paradise. In fact, everything along The Strip south of Sahara is in Paradise.

Like its nearby neighbor, Winchester, the name Paradise doesn’t appear in any postal addresses. The U.S. Postal Service has given all Paradise addresses a Las Vegas zip code.

Paradise is part of South-Southwest Las Vegas and is close to other popular Las Vegas neighborhoods, including Winchester, Enterprise and Whitney.

Paradise Valley Lifestyle and Entertainment

With about 200,000 residents, Paradise is a small city all its own. Although small is no way to describe your options for dining, entertainment and other leisure pursuits. This community boasts some of the largest and most famous casinos in the world, many with their own selection of world-class dining and shopping. Any night of the week and you have your pick of the world’s most famous entertainers who are gracing stages up and down Las Vegas Boulevard.

When you get tired of the bright lights and glare of the Strip’s attractions, Paradise also offers more family friendly recreation like that found at Paradise Park, just two blocks north of Tropicana. It features a playground, picnic areas and a water park. The on-site community center offers fitness, sports, music, dance and martial arts classes.

The Paradise Rental Market

The rental market in Paradise for apartments is a bit more affordable than a lot of other Las Vegas neighborhoods. Most Paradise apartment complexes are low-rise buildings with some older garden-style ones as well. You can find a wide selection of one-bedroom units for around $500, and two bedroom units for $600 to $800 monthly. More upscale accommodations are available as well including some in high rise buildings with choice amenities. You can also choose from condos, townhomes and single-family homes. Residents have an average commute time of 10-20 minutes.

Paradise Valley Resources

Paradise is an unincorporated town in Clark County. The Clark County Commission serves as the local government, assisted by a five-member Paradise advisory board. Visit Clark County government for more information. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District serves the community with the Clark County Branch on East Flamingo.
