Living in East Brunswick, NJ
East Brunswick was settled in the 17th century by Scotch, English, Dutch and German immigrants. Unlike some other settlements in the United States during the time, the original incomers here made deals with the Native Americans, making the spread of population here one without bloodshed. Because of the abundance of raw materials in the area during the 19th century, East Brunswick saw a boom in growth and its economy, and began shipping many goods along trade routes to New York City and Philadelphia. Today, East Brunswick is committed to preserving its history through its Main Street Historic District. According to the township's official website, the area is home to more than 40,000 residents, making it an ideal small town outside of the country's largest metropolis.
