There is not even close to enough noise control between floors. It sounds as though my upstairs neighbor is m Read Moreoving furniture every night just due to their normal activities. I don't know if the apartment complex confirms that 2nd floor residents actually have 75% carpet covering - it sure sounds like they do not.
There are cockroaches. Not a ton, but they are there. I noticed a large amount of food scraps and debris underneath my stove when I moved in (where they seem to be coming from). Will be contacting about extermination, but I doubt this will solve the problem since most residents seem to have a complaint about those bugs.
Also, the heat is turned on VERY high and cannot be adjusted individually in the units. I would like to open my windows, but there are not screens provided for every window, so I cannot do so without risking more bugs entering the place.
I had a problem with my kitchen sink flooding with drainage water from my upstairs neighbor's dishwasher. This was gross since it was greasy and had pieces of their leftover food in it - but, I'll give Brookchester credit that maintenance was there the next day; however, there was no note left as to whether or not the problem was actually solved or what was done. My likes and dislikes are: It has a good location and the streets are nice for walking.

I have only lived at Brookchester for 3 weeks and am already seriously considering not renewing my lease due t Read Moreo a cockroach infestation. I am unsatisfied with the fact that Brookchester did not plug up openings where cockroaches come in prior to my moving in and are requiring me to live with the cockroaches for almost a week before an exterminator will come to my apartment. I do not feel like a valued resident. Especially since I had a family member pass away a few days ago, the last thing I need on my plate right now is to move out of my apartment until it is convenient for Brookchester to exterminate. If you are going to move in, you must request that they exterminate and plug holes where cockroaches and mice can get it because if you don't request it, they will not automatically do it as part of getting your apartment "ready for move-in." My likes and dislikes are: The people in the Maintenance are kind.
