Living in Verona, NJ
Verona and the neighboring towns previously were known as the Horseneck Tract, initially inhabited by the Lenni Lenape Native Americans. Following the Revolutionary War, the area was renamed Caldwell Township, and during the mid-19th century the name was changed to Vernon Valley. The name was finally changed to Verona due to the fact that there was already another Vernon Valley in Sussex County. The township of Verona was incorporated officially in 1907.
One of the reasons that Verona is a great place to live is that it is primarily a residential suburban community, with a great deal of natural landscapes with close proximity to major urban centers.
