Tucked along the north shore of Onondaga Lake, Liverpool is a quaint village with independent shops, unique dining and beautiful lakeshore paths. Named after a town in the United Kingdom, Liverpool is a northwest suburb of Syracuse. The Gleason Mansion was built in 1857 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the mansion collection includes artifacts, photographs and other exhibits about the people and places within the history of Liverpool.

Onondaga Community College and Bryant & Stratton College offer students the opportunity to earn an associate’s degree within the city limits.
