The town exploded in recent decades, when its prime location near both Research Triangle Park and Raleigh Durham International Airport made it an attractive center for the area’s rapidly expanding tech industry.

Today, the town of nearly 20,000 continues to grow at a brisk pace, serving as a home to many major businesses. Residents of Morrisville apartments can enjoy great shopping, dining and recreation in a park-filled small town just minutes from countless area attractions.

The town is home to the U.S. corporate and research headquarters of computer manufacturer Lenovo, as well as the corporate headquarters of mobile data services company Tekelec. Pharmaceutical companies PPD and Catalent Pharma Solutions both have large offices in town, while many residents also commute to other pharmaceutical and high tech jobs in RTP, Raleigh or Cary. The nearby airport is another source of jobs, as are the many hotels it supports in Morrisville.

With its ideal location and professional workforce, Morrisville can get pricey, but it is generally more affordable than its neighbors. Rapid growth has helped support plenty of new real estate construction, making it easy to find a great apartment. Around half of Morrisville residents choose to rent.

U.S. Census Bureau data showed the median gross rent from 2006 to 2010 was $928. Additional research found one bedroom apartments renting for between $640 and $1140 per month.

Morrisville offers abundant outdoor and recreational space, and taking advantage of great weather to enjoy the natural surroundings is one of its biggest draws. With plenty of great retail options in town, Morrisville residents can stay busy shopping to their hearts’ content, while the Triangle area offers an abundance of cultural resources. The area is known for its great farm-to-table food, delicious barbecue, great art offerings and a renowned music scene. Triangle residents also take the local college basketball rivalries very seriously, while uniting to cheer for the Carolina Hurricanes, the NHL hockey team that plays just minutes down the road from Morrisville.
