The city of Ashland is located in northern Ohio, approximately 54 miles southwest of Cleveland. The city is the seat of Ashland County and was listed by CBS News as one of the cheapest places to live in the country. Ashland's welcome sign reads, "The World Headquarters of Nice People," and that nickname has caused the city to receive a fair amount of attention in recent years.
