Living in Bowling Green, OH
Bowling Green was settled in the early 19th century after Elisha Martindale traveled along an old Native American trail into Northwest Ohio. Named after the same city in Kentucky, the local economy was driven by farming, fur trading and lumbering until the discovery of oil in nearby North Baltimore, Ohio, brought a large number of new residents in 1886. Bowling Green officially became a city in 1901, and the new status also allowed the area to gain prominence as an educational center of Ohio.
Bowling Green State University was founded in 1910, and today, the city maintains a college town appeal. Apartments in Bowling Green are perfect for students and families alike who want to take advantage of the high quality services offered by the university.
