Overview of Holland
The small village of Holland, Ohio, is located in Lucas County in the northwestern region of the state. Holland and its neighboring town, Springfield, are considered to be one of the fastest-growing communities in the area. Commercial and office parks are developing constantly in the area, and many retail and dining establishments have opened in the past few years. In 1847, Robert Clark and his wife moved their family from Maine to the area now known as Holland. In 1938, Holland held its first Strawberry Festival, which continues to be a beloved annual event every year. Held each June, the event features amusement rides, a parade and endless strawberry desserts. Live music and games make this event family friendly and perfect for a night out.
Holland is also home to northwest Ohio’s premiere glass blowing shop, Firenation. This spot sells art supplies to artists in the community, offers classes and sells professionally crafted glass.
